A small break in the cold was just what we needed for Parker's session at the Arboretum. It was so nice to get outside in the fresh air for a while. And Parker was a perfect doll for me. She was full of smiles and was up for anything. By the end, she was a little tired and cold, but we got loads of cute stuff before then. I have photographed Parker as a newborn and a 3 month old, but as I always say, 9 months is my very favorite age for sessions. They are just such happy, easy little subjects!! I have known Ava since she was 2 months old. She and her family are some of our dearest friends. Miss Madeline was born three weeks ago. She came a month early, so she is tiny, tiny. She is up to 6 whole pounds. :) The girls were beyond amazing for our session. I was so proud of them both, but especially Ava because she was just so great the whole time I was there. Since Lucy and her are such great friends, I know what is possible with an almost three year old. She was perfect. And she was so loving and gentle with Madeline and it shows in the images. These girls are so beautiful and I can't wait to watch Madeline grow.

I am telling you, Ava brought her A game to this session. She was so easy and gave me the most beautiful smiles. She was soooo busy the entire time I was there, but when I asked her to "practice" with me while Madeline was getting changed, she stopped what she was doing and worked it for the camera.

Madeline was so alert most of the time I was with her.

Really, they are so sweet together.

She has the most beautiful head of hair, just like big sister had as a newborn.

I am so happy that I got to start out the very first day of 2010 with a precious, precious baby girl to photograph. I think this is a sign of good things to come for La La Photography this year. The last time I saw Miss Hattie, she was 2 months old. She is 6 months now and still a tiny little pumpkin. For some reason I was shocked that she could sit up because she was just so tiny. She was just as good to me this time as she was last time. She has really dark, soulful eyes that remind me of my girls' eyes. She really draws you in. I hope you all enjoy these. Happy New Year!!

As I have mentioned before, it is always the serious baby looks that get me. I love how she is playing with her little feet.

Her mom told me she has perfected the bottom lip pout. I wish she would have given me a big ole pout.

Rosie & Peter

I got to do something totally different and fun this morning - a couple's session with Rosie and Peter. This has been on the books for months and I am so happy that it was at the end of my busy season so that I could actually enjoy getting to meet these two! It was such a nice morning and so relaxed. Last year I took pictures of Nina and Olivia for their Christmas cards. This year they have a brand new little brother. He is about 3 weeks old and I just loved getting to meet George, which is a very favorite name of mine. George has three moms because his two big sisters just dote over him. Both girls wanted to have turns holding him for the pictures. They kept saying, "Isn't he so cute?" He really is. And he was so good to us. It was great to see you all again!! Enjoy.

Kyla - Maternity

These are some of my very favorite people!! I shot the girls back in April. They were one of my first clients that I had never met prior to our session, but I knew that I was going to love them right away after a few chats with their mom, Jo Ellen, over email. And I was right. The girls and their mom were just as wonderful as I had imagined they would be. Jo Ellen has sent me some of the most encouraging and kind emails that I have ever gotten. She is amazing. And some day I am going to sit down with her over some coffee and have a long talk about raising girls, because these girls and their parents have an awesome relationship. One that I hope to have with my girls as they grow older. Rick, it was great to finally meet you, as well. You have a beautiful family and one that I am happy to call my friends now.

This spring Katie is going to be my model as I start marketing to high school seniors. She will be a senior next year. Lucky me!! And Hannah has changed so much since April. She is much, much taller and just looks even more beautiful than she did before. I am so happy that I got to see you all today!! Thanks for being such great supporters of mine. And by the way, those cookies were SOOOO yummy. Lucy was kind enough to share with me and I wanted to eat the whole box. Jo Ellen always brings a present for the girls every time I see her. And it always involves the most delicious baked goods.

I met these 4 for the first time yesterday and we had a beautiful afternoon for a session. We went to their grandmother's beautiful home and it was full of fun places for pictures. They cracked me up because whenever I would ask who wanted to go first for their individual shots, all three girls jumped up and volunteered. I loved that! Enjoy!

Having a break for a few days from actually taking pictures made me excited to meet Miss Ava this morning - especially since she is my favorite age, 10 months. Some of my very best friends!! McCoy has confirmed the fact that a 9-10 month old baby is my very favorite age to photograph. They sit and smile. They crawl and smile. They stand and smile. They are just happy, happy little people. Liza did not feel too happy about having a photo shoot, but her pictures are some of my faves. She kept telling us that she was going to be "SO SERIOUS" for the pictures. Unfortunately for her, she couldn't hold that serious face when I made it back at her!! Love you guys.

This makes me so, so, so happy. I truly love everything about this image.

Perry

Another one of the most laid back babies ever. Sweet Perry had fallen asleep on the car ride to our location and was completely passed out on her mom's shoulder when they walked up to the car. Since I have one child that wakes up from naps as a bear, I wasn't sure what to expect. We walked to where we were going to start and Perry slept. Then we decided we should wake her and get going. She woke up with a smile and proceeded to smile until we were done. Impressive I tell you. You have seen Perry before from her 6 months shoot this summer. Her parents are dear friends of mine. Perry might just want to come and stay with her Aunt Kelly for a while!!! :)

I am starting with this one because I am in love with it. She had two of the most adorable dresses that I have ever seen. Seriously, perfect styling for her and I expected no less with her momma.

They shouldn't be allowed to be this cute.

Oh my. This is the sweetest baby. She is so happy and calm and I just adore her demeanor. This is my second time to photograph her and as she gets older, her little personality just shines more and more. Love her.

This one is probably my favorite. It is a tough call though.

Yesterday was my first time to meet this sweet family. These kids have got some energy!! We were on the go nonstop. We were out on a golf course and there were a few times that I was a tad concerned we were going to be hit with a golf ball. But we all survived and the pictures turned out great. Enjoy. This is one of my favorite clients for so many reasons. First, she was one of the first children I ever photographed other than my own. Second, just look at her. She is darling. Her eyes are amazing. She is dressed perfectly. And third, when she smiles, I smile - every single time. I love the way her eyes look when she smiles. She has grown and changed so much since I photographed her this time last year. Her hair has gotten so long and she just looks like a big girl now. I had so much fun this morning catching up. She made us work a little harder for these images, but you would never know. Enjoy!!

Many of my blog readers will recognize Miss Lana from the blog Our Little Kyrgyz. I was honored to do this because they take beautiful pictures of her themselves. Chandra, Cliff, and Lana drove over to Little Rock just to have our session. I am SO happy that they did. We had a blast together. Chandra had told me how Lana is often shy with strangers, but she opened right up to me. We were friends almost immediately. She has a smile and a giggle that will brighten any day. After we played downtown for a while, they all came back to my parent's house to meet Lucy and Annie and have dinner with us. The girls had the best time with Lana. Lucy was especially taken by her and they were chasing one another all over the house and beating up on Papa together!! It really was such a pleasure to get to do this. Thanks for coming to see us!! This is one of my all time favorites. She was dancing in the streets with me. Her love for life is contagious.

Her cheeks are every bit as kissable as you might think.

This little angel was literally attached to her momma the entire time we were together. She is extremely reserved when she is out of her comfort zone. Donna told me that when she is at home she is a totally different child - quite the comic, in fact. I am more proud of the smiling pictures from this session than I have ever been from any other session. She has the most contagious smile and I am just so happy that she ended up sharing it with me. Her eyes are so soulful. She stared a couple of holes right through me!!

She is just beautiful.

I LOVED my time with Ford this morning. He was so much fun and an absolute breeze to work with. His mom did my favorite thing that any mom could ever do, she stepped back and just let us do our thing. He started out very briefly being a tad shy, but as soon as we got the chance to run and play, he was completely cooperative and so very easy to make smile. This little pumpkin is about to be a big brother in 8 weeks or so. I am glad he got the chance to be the star for just a little longer before he has to share the spotlight. Anne, I just loved being with him this morning. Thanks for welcoming me into his little world.

This one just kills me it is so precious.

I had to show this one. He sucks his fingers. He only did it at the very beginning of the session when he was not too sure about me. I love pictures like this because they show the baby side of him that is very much still there.

We were at the most amazing home for our location. The yard went on forever and ever and had a million different options for great photos.

I cannot tell you how many smiles I got out of him by moving these pool balls around. He is holding my hand!!

More playgroup friends!! I love to photograph our friends from playgroup because I know the children really well, they know me, and most of all, I love to make their mommas happy because they are all such dear friends of mine. I don't know what I would have done had I not met these girls. Anyway, back to the session. We had a gorgeous morning, and I feel quite blessed that the weather has been so good to me given how crazy it has been lately. We have gotten so much rain, but I have gotten so lucky and gotten to do all of my sessions without any rescheduling. Wilson and Anna Kate did spectacular this morning. They gave me lots of smiles and I just love the together shots. Whenever I am in the middle of a shoot, I worry that we didn't get great together shots. But I almost always come home and go through the images and just adore how the kids were interacting with one another. I love capturing those moments. Enjoy!!

The magic word for Wilson to get him to smile and laugh is Tuba. Ha!! I love the crazy things that make kids happy. And I LOVE this picture.

I heart genuine laughter coming from kids. Not much more makes me happier.

A couple more of the girls' friends from playgroup!! These precious brothers made my morning lots of fun. Their beautiful home has a sunroom that I would give anything to call my studio! Will and Lucy have been in playgroup together for a couple of years now. He was ALL smiles for me this morning. Seriously, he was so much fun and so easy, which is SOOOOO nice for me. Hank was perfectly content the entire morning as long as he had his balloon. If we tried to put the boys together, Hank would take off crawling. So, I am really excited about their group shots since those took some work!! Enjoy.

The M Family

Last night I met my dear, dear friends at the lake for their family session. If you read the girls' blog, you know these faces. We have done sessions in the past that were a tad on the challenging side, however, last night they were ready to go. The first 15 minutes we got so much done of the two kids that I couldn't believe it. They were awesome!! Miss A changed her mind on me pretty quickly, but that was okay because we got what we needed early on. I would give the award to L for being such an awesome sport about this, but I think the real award goes to Mom because she stayed nice and calm and relaxed the whole time. I told her ahead of time that she was not allowed to freak the kids out before we even got started!! :) And since she obeyed, everything went so well. Love you M!! You guys are rockstars!

I am not even worried about A turning on me because this one makes up for all of that! Her cuteness is off the charts.

See, I told you L was on top of his game last night. He was working it for me!

I unlocked the secret to make these two laugh - the word Booty. And shaking my booty while I said it. :) Whatever works.

She put her cute little hand back there all on her own, and I love it!

We are so lucky to have gotten these. It took a whole lot of work to get Anna to unbury her head at this point!!

But you would never know by that smile of hers!

I had to include this one. It was maybe the last photo I took and what that face means is, "If you point that camera at me one more time, things are going to get ugly!" She may be small, but she means business and I love her for it!

This is my precious neighbor and best friend of my girls, Ava. I rode with her and Christy to the park and she was turning on her charm for us all. She got quite a bit more serious once we got to the park because she was busy, busy, busy. She needed to explore every inch of that park and she wasn't about to let us get in her way! I love how these turned out!! I love this baby!!

Meet Maisie. She is such a trooper. She went to bed late last night, got up early this morning, flew to see me, and still was full of smiles and energy. After our session, they flew right back out. Now that was a busy day. She did so great!! I was seriously impressed because that is a lot for anyone, let alone a 2 year old. It was so great to chat with her mom about their experience in Vietnam. I just adore meeting other VN adoption families. Maisie definitely classifies as my furthest away client. She lives in Maryland, but was in south Texas visiting family. Thanks for this opportunity!! She was an absolute joy to work with.

The 3 Ks

I had such a fun, fun session tonight with these three gorgeous boys! They were such little charmers and had me won over within a matter of seconds of meeting them. We have been trying to make this session happen for a long time. They don't even live here anymore, but come back to visit family and friends, so we got it done and the weather was absolutely perfect. I mean perfect. I had a blast with you all and am so glad we were finally able to meet and do this. I love how the session turned out. Hope you do as well!!

Words cannot express how precious Samuel is. I could eat him up. I have photographed him before with his older brother, Milam, who is one of Lucy's little friends. But we did his one year session today all on his own and he turned it on for me. He was all smiles the entire time. We were in and out of there in record time and I could use just about every single photo that I took. I really just kept editing until my babies decided that their naps were over. Lucky for Samuel's Mom, they napped a long time and I got a lot done. Samuel is going to be a big brother this spring and he will be such a sweet brother. It's another boy!! Their Mom is going to be busy with three boys on the go.

There are soooo many, but since I am all caught up on my other sessions, I was ready to go.

Love, love, love his expressions. So full of life.

I think I will just keep him.

This was my final session in Nashville and I loved every second of it. This wonderful family has been blessed twice by international adoption, just like us. Here are a few of the photos from yesterday morning at the zoo with our dear friends Grace and Petunia. For those of you that don't read Susan's blog, she uses Petunia as her nickname instead of using her real name - I LOVE this nickname! It was so dark and dreary out, but we made the most of what we had. These two are VERY hard to get a smile out of!! They remind me of Lucy with their serious side. I love these girls so much. There is just something so special about the fact that they spent the first few months of their precious little lives with my Lucy. Wish we saw you all more.

Sherri - I am most definitely counting this as a smile!! It might be a small one, but it is a grin.

Yesterday before my nephews' birthday party, we fit in a quick session for Lilli, Charlie, and Jack. They are the cousins of my nephews. We were trying hard for a good picture of mom and Jack and a group picture for Christmas. I think we definitely accomplished our goal! These are the most well behaved and well mannered children I have ever been around. They were so easy to work with and lots of fun. Enjoy!

I am having some issues with image sizing and the pictures looking a little fuzzy on the blog, so I am going back to a smaller size for now.

Charlie made me really work for all of my shots, but I am thrilled with the results! He was a little man on the go. Nonstop movement throughout the entire session. The energy that little boys have never ceases to amaze me. He is just the cutest!! Enjoy!

I was worried that today was going to be the one day that the weather did not cooperate with us. When I got up in the morning, the sky was black and the ground was soaked from a big storm that had come through. When we (my sister Amy came with me to both shoots today - thank you so much for the help Mamie!) drove to Lilly and Jack's house, the sky was still black. Amy nannies for this family and they are close friends of Holly and Adam (my sister and her husband). We kind of slowly got the kids ready hoping that the skies would clear up. It ended up being a GORGEOUS morning by the time we got to our location. Lilly was a champ and totally did her thing - even after she fell completely in the creek!! Seriously. She fell all the way in. And then we finished up back at the house to get a few shots of sweet Jack. He was dead asleep the entire time I was with them. I could have snuggled him all day! Thanks for a fun morning.

I am so excited that I got to meet this family! The kids were so sweet and beautiful. Camdyn is adopted from Vietnam, so you know she holds an extra special place in my heart. It was the most beautiful day yesterday afternoon. Just perfect for a session. I had so much fun with these girls. They either chased me or I was chasing them almost the entire time. I think we all had a good time!! They kept me on my toes. It was so nice to meet you all and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

This is my favorite. This was at the very end of the session and they were all having so much fun. We ALL ended up getting wet by the time we were done.

I had to work for Miss Lila to open up, but she ended up doing so well! All three girls have the most beautiful eyes. The color is so unique.

Marit is the big sis to the twins and she did an awesome job of showing the little ones what to do!

Love it when I catch a real laugh. She is soooo pretty!

I have been so excited to meet the darling Miss Phoebe. She is the daughter of one of my best friends from high school. She was born the day after I left Little Rock last time, so I barely missed the chance to meet her at just a few days old. She is 5 weeks old now and was just an angel yesterday. Her Momma told me she might act up, so I was ready for the challenge, but she was absolutely perfect. She is sooooooo beautiful and tiny. I got a lot of loves in on her in between photos. I could seriously snuggle tiny babies like this all day long - just not all night! :) Jeremy and Jacquelyn, she is quite simply perfect. I love her. Enjoy!

As a little side note, she has the most beautiful nursery you have ever seen. Jac and her mom have the greatest sense of design and her room is one of my favorite nurseries ever. Every detail is perfect.

Home From My Workshop

I just got home tonight from the greatest 3 day workshop with Amy Wenzel. I can't even begin to explain how much I learned and grew as an artist through this time with her. I think I could have been in class for 12 hours per day and been perfectly happy because it was that interesting and informative. Love me some Amy Wenzel and her skillzzzzzzz.

Here are some of the images that I took at our two shoots. The first day was with children and the second day was with high school seniors. I am going to make a big push to get into that market next spring, so if you like what you see, I have just learned from one of the best photographers. She has taught me how to achieve that fashionable, editorial type shot if that is what you like.

Okay, I know that I am always saying how cute the babies are that I have gotten to photograph so far. I could go on and on about this little one. She won me over at first glance. She was the happiest little angel and never made even the slightest fuss. And it was hot and humid! Her parents and I were the ones fussing about how hot we were! Seriously though, do you think it would be possible for Kelsie to get any cuter. Nope, me neither. Loved her and still think that she should have come home with me! You all were such a fun family to work with. I was laughing most of the session and quite entertained. Thanks for a fun afternoon!

This afternoon the rain finally let up and allowed me to photograph one of Lucy's best friends, Molly, and her Dad's side of the family. We had an absolute blast and I am soooo proud of Miss Molly. She and Lucy have very, very similar personalities. That means that you just never know what you are going to get. But she did awesome! I seriously could not have asked her to do a better job. Her parents are really good at getting her to giggle and smile. I hope you all really enjoy these. So glad this worked out to get this done while Keith was in town!

I have literally been working on these all day long. Here are some of the Christmas cards that will be available to clients this holiday season. Bright and early this morning I met some dear friends at the park for Alice Anne's 1 year portraits and some shots of the sweetest sisters ever together. I knew this session would be a breeze. First, I know the girls, so they are comfortable around me. Second, they are BEAUTIFUL! And third, they are the most polite and well behaved girls I have ever been around. Lucy and Hannah have been in playgroup together since they were babies. I often find myself wondering what I am doing wrong when I am around these two because they are just so loving and sweet to one another, and Hannah uses the most amazing manners you have ever heard. I need her to give Lucy a lesson or two on the sisterly love/manners department! As you can see, the session went exactly as I expected - the girls did awesome, and we have loads of precious images to prove it. So fun seeing you guys and Emily, I hope you took some pictures of Hannah with her pink ice cream topped with gummi bears and sprinkles! I am sharing a LOT of pics, so enjoy!

This morning I got to do a really fun, urban session with Ben - who is the older brother of Lauren that I photographed in March. I love doing an urban session because it is just different and creative and there are literally endless possibilities. I think that Ben looks like a child model in these. He is SO cute and was dressed perfectly for an urban setting. I really enjoyed my morning with Ben and his mom. Enjoy!

I got the pleasure of meeting Miss Hattie this morning. She was SO easy to photograph even though she is 2 months old, which is kind of a hard age because they are in between the newborn stage and being able to hold up their head. However, she loved my camera. She followed it with her big brown eyes everywhere I went. She was so alert and interested in me. Can I just say how much I loved that?!?! Also, she never made a peep the entire time I was with her. I loved her expressions and how she studied me. I would have liked to have thrown her in Annie's carseat and taken her with me! Hattie is also the cousin of Evan, Tess, and Emmy, from the previous session. Jessica, I hope you enjoy these and congrats on your beautiful, beautiful daughter.

First, I hope I am spelling the girls' names right, which speaking of, I think they have some of the best names I have ever heard. I got to shoot three of the most beautiful little girls this afternoon. They just got home from the beach and they are tan and BLONDE! Love, love, love. They are the cousins of one of the babies I shot last time I was in Little Rock. We were in a race against the clock because a huge storm was blowing in, but we did it! Not a rain drop fell while we were working it. However, on the drive home, the skies opened up and dropped some of the heaviest rains I have seen in a while. I sure hope the girls still got their ice cream because they definitely deserved it. It was so great to see you guys!! Hope you enjoy your sneak peek. I had a VERY hard time deciding which ones to put on here. I could have edited all night!

This is the daughter of one of my dearest friends from college. Isn't she just yummy?!?! She did not let me down and kept the streak going of my Little Rock babies being insanely easy to photograph. She was such a pumpkin and just sat and smiled for us. She has the biggest, bluest eyes. It was a gorgeous evening for pictures. Kiss that baby a few extra times for me. Love you all.

Sorry I am so slow on getting this posted, Laura! I had so much fun with Davidson and Lilly. Miss Lilly needed some time to open up to me, but before too long she was all smiles and we were chasing each other around the U of A campus. Davidson has definitely never met a stranger, so he was ready to go right off the bat. After we had been shooting for a while, he told his mom, "I am having so much fun!" I love, and I do mean LOVE, when I can type that I just had one of the easiest sessions ever. And luckily for me, I get to say that about Miss Mallory (so far my Little Rock sessions have been a breeze!). She was a champ. Last night I met a friend I have had since high school and her beautiful daughter, Lily, for her 6 month session. I have to say, I could have snuggled Miss Lily all afternoon. She had the sweetest disposition, smile, and giggle. If it hadn't been a million degrees, everything would have been perfect. It was so hot we would run outside, take pictures for about 3 minutes, and run back into the ac to cool off. Won't fall weather be amazing?!?! Katherine, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! Seriously, she is sooooo cute! She is still wobbly with sitting up so Katherine would get her sitting, run back, and I would snap as many as I could before Lily would topple over. Precious.

Parker - 3 Months

This morning I got to see just how much Miss Parker has grown since her newborn session a few months ago. She has changed so much and could not be any more precious! I just adore snuggly little ones. She didn't make a single peep the entire time. Her parents were a little surprised by how serious she was most of the session, but they always get serious in front of my huge camera. She really did great, especially considering it was unbearably hot. We were all drenched by the end of the session and we were only out there about 35 minutes. The temperatures are just miserable. Thanks for braving the heat with me. It should be beautiful weather by the time she needs her next session! Yeah!!

The Grandkids

When I got an email from Joan asking me to come to her house and photograph her 6 grandkids, ranging from age 7 to 3 months, I knew it was going to be a challenge. When I walked in the door, all 6 kids were sitting on the couch. They were ready for me! I was literally in the door for 30 seconds and started taking pictures. I knew we had a very short window before every one of those kids would start to lose it. Who wouldn't, we are all yelling and trying to get them to look and smile. Not easy. Not easy at all. They were so sweet and sat there and looked at us like we were all crazy. We went outside to get some more shots, but were swarmed within minutes by about a zillion mosquitos. After that, a few of the little ones had had enough! I rarely ask my little ones to sit together and all look at me. It is just so hard at these young ages, but one set of the grand babies live out of town, so they understandably want group shots of the kids together. It was fun meeting you all. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Little Miss Caroline was especially on guard when I was around. By the end, she just cried when she saw the camera. Poor baby!

So sorry to Kelly for the delay in getting this up!! My final session in Little Rock was with this precious family with two sons from South Korea. I think that Kelly and I could have sat and swapped baby stories for hours. There were so many similarities between our children. It is always so reassuring and calming to me to talk with a mom that I can really relate to, and that is how Kelly was for me. It truly was such a pleasure to meet you and your beautiful family! All I had to do was look at Lincoln and he would light up! Reminded me so much of my Annie.

Jessica and I met quite some time ago when we were both in the adoption process for our babies. Lucy and I got to actually meet Beckett and Jessica 2 summers ago, but we have not seen each other since. I keep up with them on their blog. Let me just say, Beckett's personality has emerged and he is full of life and joy. I LOVED every second of this session. But most importantly, Beckett LOVED the camera, which makes me the happiest girl ever. I kept catching myself saying over and over again, "Wow. He is just the cutest thing ever." He would stare right at me with those big dark eyes. At one point, either his mom or dad said, "He would climb right into your camera if he could." Again, I loved him! It was wonderful to see you guys again and meet Ken. Next time we are in town we should definitely get all of the kids together! Enjoy!!!

These cuties are the kiddos of a friend of mine from high school. Their mom, Jill, and I cheered together and were reconnected many years later through the blog world. So crazy! Jill had told me that Noah would be the easy one to get pictures of. We both laughed about that because he was seriously not into having his picture made. Every time he saw me coming he would turn and crawl away as quickly as he possibly could. I am not kidding, I was running to get shots of him. He wanted to dig in the dirt and eat rocks and leaves. This is Justin's sister's family. Please meet Adam, Cayce, Austen, and Jaksen. Cayce asked if we could do a session while we were down at the beach together and of course I was up for it. When these two pumpkins got out of the car this morning and I saw those big blue eyes, I was quite excited! I had an absolute blast with Wheatley, Reynolds, their mom, and grandparents. They were so easy. I feel like I keep saying that, but I have gotten so lucky. As long as I talked about Princesses with Wheatley, she would do anything I asked her to do. And Reynolds, he was all smiles. Lucky me. Erin, I hope you really love these of your precious babies! They did awesome, and you just never know what a 3 year old or 10 month old is going to think about all of this.

First of all, I love these kids' names! Second of all, they were just as cute as could be and so much fun to work with, so they made my job quite easy. Annie loved the camera. She was always up for it being her turn. We had to work to get George to smile a real smile, but when he did, it just made my day. He ended up being my little buddy and I got the honor of holding his hand when we would cross the street. Sweet, sweet baby Parker finally got to get her pictures done today. We have been fighting rain and black clouds for a long time now. She was such a sweet pumpkin. I kind of wanted her to stay at my house today! :) Josh and Suzi, she is simply perfect. There is no other way to describe her. Congratulations on your little bitsy! Enjoy the pics.

She didn't quite think that the fresh flowers were as great of an idea as her mom and I did. It took some work to get these.

Another shoot with friends today! This is Milam and Samuel. Milam and Lucy have been in playgroup together since they were little. Now Samuel and Annie have a built in playgroup. I am in love with this field and it is so much more gorgeous at the moment because of the wild flowers in bloom. The wild flowers were an unexpected surprise. They weren't there when I did my failed attempt of Annie's 1 year portraits there a few weeks back. Milam was seriously so adorable. He would bring me a flower and say, "I got this for you, Miss Kelly." He turned 2 in December and talks on about a 5 year old level. I am not kidding, it is amazing. Samuel is about the sweetest dumpling ever. He is so laid back and he just sat on that blanket and enjoyed the day, just smiling away. When we were done, Milam gave his bouquet to his Mom. Is that not so sweet?!? Lane has sent a lot of her friends my way for pictures, so I am so grateful to her. I hope you guys love the pictures! Didn't the sky turn out so cool? I am SO glad we did this tonight.

This is my precious neighbor, Ava. She is a doll, to say the least. Her mom and dad are some of our best friends. I love this little girl. She did AMAZING today. Never fussed a single peep. I had the best time this afternoon with Katie and Hannah. The girls wanted an urban shoot, and Deep Ellum has endless possibilities. Every wall has painted brick or graffiti. It really is such a cool area. I just grabbed my camera and we all started walking. We would stop anytime we saw something fun and trust me, we barely scratched the surface as far as great places to shoot. It really was a blast. Girls, you both totally rocked it. Stella & Yates

I got to meet two more of the sweetest kids today. I have been so lucky because all of the kids I have been doing sessions for lately have really made it so easy on me. I spent the first 15 minutes or so just kind of playing with Stella and Yates so that they could get a little more comfortable with me. By the end, we were looking for ladybugs together and Stella was bringing me flowers. Sweet girl! We really wanted to get a few cute ones of the kids together, since that is so hard - I especially can relate because Stella is 2 and Yates is 1 (just like my babies), and I rarely get a picture of my girls together. I think we did it though! I love this kind of session because we really just let the kids do their thing and I kind of followed them around. With 2 kids being so small, it is pretty much impossible to try and get them to "pose" for the camera. We would put them together and then just let them interact - which is how we got the fun jumping pictures. They just started jumping on their own. I appreciate how calm their mom was and how she didn't try and force them to do anything. That makes things so much easier! It was so great to see you, Meredith, and meet your two beautiful babies. I hope you love the pictures.

I got the chance to meet precious Stirling and her mom at the Arboretum today. Stirling is 3 and she was seriously so easy to work with. She would stand anywhere I asked her to, look at the camera when I said her name, and not give crazy cheesy smiles like most 3 year olds. I was very impressed!! Today I got the chance to meet Miss Lauren and her parents at the Arboretum for a perfect day for taking pictures. It is so rare that we get a cloudy day here, and we took full advantage of it. We had every inch of the Arboretum at our disposal since there was no harsh sunlight to battle. It was awesome. It was so nice to meet you all and I hope Lauren got a treat for doing such an awesome job. Two is a very unpredictable age for pictures. I obviously know since I live with one that I photograph every single day. She really did such a great job!

Lucky for my clients, I have a VERY hard time narrowing down my pictures for a sneak peak. I generally always over share. Erin, I hope you enjoy these!!

Hi!! Welcome to the La La blog. This is a work in progress. The blog will definitely be changing and improving, but I wanted to get something up in the meantime. Starting my own business is such an incredibly exciting, fun, and scary adventure. But I am ready for the challenge and I really hope that you have a fun time coming along for the ride!

I will be posting all of the sneak peeks from my sessions on the blog first. This way the families can see at least a few of my favorites from the session right away without having to wait until all of the proofs are edited.
